Curated on the ground in Costa Rica
We live where the wood grows. Rich Coast Ethos connects you directly to Costa Rican craftsmen and their live edge tropical hardwood — pieces already cut and waiting, or a piece we'll find to fit exactly what you have in mind.
Most live edge sellers in the US work from a warehouse and a handful of suppliers. We're based in Costa Rica itself — inside the workshops, at the sawmills, on a first-name basis with the people shaping each piece.
That means when a guanacaste log with the right grain comes through, we see it before it's gone. And when a customer describes a piece that doesn't exist yet, we know exactly which craftsman to call.
It's the difference between buying wood and having someone find the wood for you.
A working sample of current inventory. Once a piece sells, it's replaced — never reproduced.
Most of our best pieces never touch a warehouse. Tell us what you're picturing, and we'll go find it in Costa Rica.
Dimensions, wood species, finish, budget — or just a photo of something you love.
We reach out to craftsmen and sawmills across Costa Rica for matching pieces or logs.
We send photos, dimensions, and pricing on actual candidate pieces — no renderings.
Your piece is finished to spec and shipped to your door in the US.
We work with a small, known network of craftsmen across Costa Rica — from single-person operations to family workshops. Nothing here comes from a factory.
